On Sunday, Jen and I, wanted to get the kids out of the house and let them have some fun. We decided to take them swimming at the YMCA. We went to the new pool and it was awesome. The shallow end was like 3 1/2 feet so Ian could touch without his jacket which he loves. There is a water slide that Ian figured out in a hurry. He had fun zipping around in that thing. I didn't think there would be much for Anna to do but I was happily surprised. They had this tower with three spouts, a train, and other things that all sprayed water out. Anna had so much fun running through the sprinklers and climbing up into the train to stay safe. My only big complaint was that the water was a bit cold. Oh yeah and that we couldn't get in the hot tub. The hot tub is right by the pool so parents can sit in it and watch their kids....if they can swim alone.

When I was growing up, we always went out on Christmas Eve to look at the lights. The whole family would load up and drive around town voting on the best decorated house. It was so much fun that Shane and I have done this with out family.
Some of the houses in our old neighborhood do the candles in the bags lining the streets. Such an amazing sight to see when it is all lit up. When we returned home, I caught Anna just sitting by the tree alone QUIETLY. I took the oportunity to play with my camera. Sorry these are turned. (When I save them on a disc before editing this happens).
Ian and Anna left Santa a note, cookies, hot chocolate and a candy cane. We took a family picture and it was off to bed.
Ian got this really cool Optimus Prime Voice Changer. You put it on and speak and it makes your voice sound like Optimus Prime. Anna thought it was scary at first. She then enjoyed putting it on and singing "la la la la." Shane and I had a ton of fun with it to.
They honestly got more toys than any kid needs. We truly are blessed to have two babies and the ability to spoil them like we obviously do.
We were fortunate enough to be invited to the Nagel's for a New Years party. It was so much fun. The theme was around the world. You have to pick a country then dress the part and bring a food and drink from that country. There were a ton of different dishes and drinks and costumes. It was a blast. Shane and I chose Jamaica. We took Coconut Toto and Jamaican Bum. Both tasty treats.
We went with Ashlie and Eric - Russia, and Jeff and Rachelle - Sweden.
There was a couple there who chose "White Trash America" It was the funniest thing ever. This is the boys with "Mr. White Trash" and his 40.
Lee and Erin were Italy. This picture is of Lee giving everyone a shot out of a lemon in Italy.
It was a great time for everyone. They had fireworks at midnight and Dan Nagel proposed to his girlfriend Abby. It was so sweet.
Thank you Nagel family for thinking of us.
