Snow fun like family fun.
On Sunday evening the family went back to the snow hill for more fun. This time, Shane and Anna joined us. I just wanted to get a few pictures of Shane and Ian sledding so we had to bundle Anna up to take her out. After the few pictures I planned on sitting in the warm van with Anna while Shane and Ian continued. We discovered that little Anna LOVES the snow. I put her in the sled and was just pulling her, nothing big, and she had this huge smile on her face. I wanted to get some pictures from the top of the hill so, I pulled Anna up to the top. Once up there, it was evident that she wanted to go down the hill like Daddy and Ian. So I sat on my butt and held the sled and we went down. She yelled WEEEEE the whole way. Loved it. Ian and Shane had fun to. They raced and then Ian climbed on Shane's back and they went. It was a beautiful day and we had tons of fun. Afterwards, we decided we needed something warm to eat so we got Wendy's chili and food. It really hit the spot. It was nothing like being pulled behind a truck on your sled but it will have to do - FOR NOW.
Valentines Day

Isn't this such a fun day? To start things out, Ian and I got to attend a "Mother Son" dance and had a ton of fun. This dance was held at the museum in town where Ian got to see all of the bat mobiles that he loved. There were snacks, music, crafts, games, and friends. They played Musical Stars which Ian won. He got a big chocolate star as his prize. They then played the chicken dance which is Ian's favorite. We had a ton of fun and can't wait to go on a date with him again.

I got Wednesday off because of the snow and Shane had to work first shift delivering flowers. Scott's had a deal this year where you could order flowers and have them delivered and the delivery fee was donated to the Police Department. Then, of course, the officer had to deliver the flowers rain or snow. So, I got flowers delivered to my door by a very handsome officer. It was great. Because of this, Shane had the evening off and we spent it at home with the kids. We had tacos (Shane's favorite, OK mine to) and watched movies. Not the most romantic but I loved it.

Talk about sweet!
This morning on our way to the sitter's house, Ian was talking about icicles on the houses. I told him a story of when I was about his age and there was a huge icicle on my house that I wanted. I couldn't reach it so I got a broom stick and knocked it down. Well, when it came down it came down right on my little hand and I cried and cried. He then asked "did you have band aides when you were little?" I said that I did but wasn't sure that my mommy put one on it. He then said "I would have put one on it for you. Was I born then?" I said no he wasn't to which he replied, "Well if I was there I could have taken care of you and been like your daddy." Yeah that's my kid. Thank you Ian Scott!

More fun in the snow.
Last weekend Ian finally got to go sledding. There is a park in our neighborhood with a HUGE hill that all the Auburn kids sled on. I took Ian with our sleds and climbed up to the top. Put Ian on his sled and asked if he wanted to go by himself....of course he did. I thought for sure he would be scared but he wasn't. He went all the way down laughing. On the back side of this hill it is steeper and there are homes, one of which has a fenced yard. Ian wanted to go down that side cause all the big kids were. I sent him down not thinking he'd make it to the fence or everyone knows you bail out before hitting something...so I thought. He hit that fence so hard and I ran down to check on him. He looked at me and said in his most serious voice "I think my foot pushed up into my leg or something." I laughed but made him get up to walk hoping I hadn't just broke his leg. He was fine but as we were standing there talking, some random kid nailed me on his sled. I immedialty asked if he was OK and he said yeah and ran back up the hill to his father. NO SORRY or anything. After he left I 1) hurt and 2) was ticked because what if that were Ian and 3) a sorry or look out or something would have been nice and 4) the father was just yelling at him to hurry back up the hill. What in the world? Even after all this, Ian continued to have fun going down the hill until he went down, hit a bump, flipped his sled and got a face full of snow. That was enough for him. He has asked to go back and talks about how much fun it was.

It Snowed Momma!

Ian got a new snow suit that he has been dieing to try out. WE FINALLY GOT SNOW! We also have like three sleds he has never got to use in the last three years either. Anyhow, Sunday I took him out to play in the snow. He had so much fun. All he wanted to do was make snow angels.

We had a small snowball fight and even threw one at Anna who watched from the house. After we threw it, she kept trying to get the snow from the inside.

We then wrote Ian's name in the snow. He thought this was the coolest thing. Look at his smile. Such a cheeser.

Last night, Shane took him out and they had their annual snow ball fight. Now they have fought all year about who won last years snowball fight but, last night, Ian finally admitted that "actually Daddy won last year." If you have heard Ian say "actually" you know how much funnier this story is. Looks like they're 1-1 in snowball fights. I asked Ian this morning who he thought would win next year. He said himself, of course. I have my money on Anna J.

Cartoons and Sticker Books.
Do you all remember what it was like to get up early on Saturdays and watch cartoons. This weekend the kids got up and I made a little bed on the floor for them and they sat there quietly together for quite some time. It was nice. Anna copies everything Ian does so this was great for her. I think she felt so big laying next to him. When he ate some fruit loops she did. When he drank his milk, she did.
Ian has a Spiderman sticker book where the stickers glow in the dark. This particular night he unbuttoned his shirt and was putting them all over his chest. Shane and I just laughed about it. Ian was very quiet and after checking on him we realized he had fallen asleep. When I went to take him up to bed this is what I found.
These stickers were all over the bed and floor but this was the only one left on Ian.
Play Zone.....

Sunday MeMa took Ian and Anna to a Birthday Party at the Play Zone (or something like that). I sent my camera with her and she said they really had fun. I guess this place has it all: Slides, Balls, Cars, Blocks, Basketball. I think we will have to get a group and check it out.

Little Miss Anna
Here are some pictures of Anna from the past few weeks.

Joni (our baby-sitter) had some fun putting Anna's hair up. I have tried and can't do this. Guess I need some practice.
My sister, Aunt Kimmie, is always buying Anna the cutest little shoes. I think she bought these shortly after Anna was born. It is hard to find something to go with red boots but at Christmas, Anna got the perfect outfit. The boots actually have red flowers just like the dress.
Anna loves to climb into the cupboard
and drag everthing out. Ian loves to help her play drums. Yeah, it is LOUD!
I don't have any pictures (I should) but the funniest thing Anna does right now is uses
everything as a phone. She will put anything up to her ear and say "hello" (in Anna language).
Little Mister Ian

This is one of Ian's new costumes (Aunt Kimmie again). He got quite a few for Christmas and loves them all.

We got to visit with some Auburn friends on Saturday and Ian had so much fun. Here he is jumping with Krue and having fun with the punching bag. I think Dad may need to invest in one of those.

Ian has had some interesting things to say lately. First off, I got him a bible and a devotional book because he had been asking about God and such. So we were reading the bible one night when he began to ask questions about Heaven and when/who goes there. After my best explanation, he began crying saying he didn't believe in God because he didn't want to go to Heaven. Not the best job on my part. So as I am trying to repair the damage I have done he eventually asks if his house, bat-cat, and teddy could go with him. This seemed to make him happy until he said something a few days later that has me really worried. He told me that "Sometimes I try to be bad so I don't have to go to Heaven." I tried to explain that this isn't how it works but I think my explaining things is a bad idea...obviously. Any suggestions?

Last night I allowed Ian to stay up until 9:30 so he could watch Justice League. When that was over he came walking into my room asking for one more chance to please watch baby looney toons. He just needed one more chance, please. He then explained to me that he had been 1/2 good today and deserved it. Ian always uses his hands when explaining something and it was so cute I couldn't say no.

LOVE AND FAMILY
My cousin Jarrod got married on Saturday so once again the whole family got together. Jason & Jill were home from Alabama and we all camped out at Kim & Nic's for the weekend. We got to see another year end together and it was a ton of fun.
These two pictures are of Anna and her Aunt Jill and Aunt Kimmie.
Next we have my dad, us girls and my grandmother.

Anna with her Pappy and Grandma Cindy.

Ian and his favorite cousin. They always have so much fun together.

The rest are of our family. We discovered that Anna loves to dance. She really like dancing with her big brother. Shane and I had so much fun with them also.

Ian is always telling me "I love you" and my sister caught it on film.

After this wedding we all went back to Kim & Nic's for Christmas. We each made something dinner and had a ton of fun. Did not get to go bowling this year but that is okay because the girls would have one anyhow. On Sunday we all went out to dinner and then hung out at the house playing games. Hope this year brings as much fun and love as the last.

Happy Holidays!!!!
It has been such a busy holiday season once again. I have so many pictures and stories to share but will spare you all and share the favorites.
Shane had to work Christmas Eve and Christmas so we decided that when he got home Christmas morning (5:30 a.m.) we would cook for the Officers on 3rd and 1st shift. After that Shane's family was coming over to have breakfast as well and then we would do presents and such. Shane wanted to place the trees under the tree when he got home so you can imagine my shock when I heard little feet at ten till 5. I got up after hearing Ian return to bed and put the presents out just in time for him to come down ready for Christmas. He had to wait 2 1/2 hours to open presents and it was killing him.
I guess we should go back a little bit to share that they got to see Santa. However, Ian sat there smiling and wouldn't tell Santa what he wanted. He says it is because Anna ate his list and he couldn't remember.

There were so many presents with the whole family and Santa that the kids had a long morning.

Ian got many new Batman, Spiderman, Power Ranger toys. Anna was lucky enough to get clothes....a girls second best friend.

After all of this, the kids took a break together before having to rush out the door to get to Grandma Kunkel's Christmas at noon.

We went to Shane's Dad's (Harry) on Tuesday and then my Dad's and a wedding this past Saturday. The kids got so many new things it is embarassing. I guess they are loved.

This is a picture of Ian standing by the tree Christmas morning. If you look at him, it appears as though his Angel has her wing on his back....a hug maybe?
