First Field Trip

Ian had his first field trip yesterday. His class went to the fair grounds to learn about all of the different animals. Ian said his favorite animal was the pigs. This pig followed Ian around the pen until finally I had to drag him away. Yes he is actually touching his dirty snout. Ian thought it was funny.

We also got to see the goats, bunnies, horses, chickens, sheep, and cows. In case you wondered, Ian did find the chocolate and strawberry cows. He also found some chocolate pigs. And we thought there was a syrup for that.
PUZZLED
Ian got a puzzle a few weeks ago and he loves to do it over and over and over again. After watching him so many times, Anna thinks she is ready to help.

9 1/2 AND COUNTING....

Our dear little Anna is now 9 1/2 months old. I know time flys when you're having fun right. She had her "well baby" check-up on Friday and is doing good. This was also three months since her surgery. When she was released from the hospital she weighed 9lbs. 14oz. She is now at 16lbs. 4oz. and 27 1/2 inches long. She is back on the "average" line. The best thing was....no shots.

Anna has been crawling for some time now. She also pulls up and is starting to bend over to pick things up. Every once in a while she will let go and stand on her own. She loves her cheerios and gets mad if she runs out of them. She will pound on the table and scream until you get her more. That is all part of the "sassy" attitude she is developing. She has also started using a sippy cup and does well with that. Say good bye to the bottle. Bath time is a favorite. If she isn't taking one she will crawl in the bathroom and try to climb in with whomever is. Other than playing in the dogs water bowl, she enjoys wrestling with Ian Scott. He may enjoy it more than her. She will just laugh at anything Ian does. Has also started to cry whenever he does. She just got her second and third tooth this past week. Thank goodness. She sleeps fairly well (unless teething or Shane is home) and must have Mr. Duck Duck to fall asleep. She also has a good relationship with Lexy. Just as she does with Ian, Lexy takes the mother/protector role with Anna.

She is constanly on the move and hates it when you make her lay still to do anything...change her and so forth. Taking things away from her is a sure fire way to get her going. Not much seems to bother her. Shane and I are so happy watching her and Ian grow. We thank God daily for these two little angels.

SCHOOL DAYS!

It has come. Ian's first day of school. I had to be in Indianapolis for training and could not be there but Shane had everything under control. My only request was that he get pictures. He woke up late on Tuesday and had to rush around to get everyone ready and out of the house. He did get Ian to school by 9:00 a.m. only to learn they had an hour delay and he didn't have to be there until 10:00 a.m. He got him there in one piece and did an excellent job on the pictures. Thanks Shane!
Football is here!

For those of you who don't know, football season is bigger than Christmas to my husband. He has anxiously been waiting for this week to come. Because of his love for the game, we play along and make it a family affair. Ian loves dressing up in his football gear and Anna didn't seem to mind either. Saturdays are dedicated to Notre Dame and the Skins come on Sunday/Monday.

Good Bye and Good Luck

My brother and sister-in-law are moving on....to Alabama. So my Grandma had us all over on Sunday for a little good bye lunch. There was fun to be had by all. Of course there was tons of yummy food, games, bubbles, and yes.....home made ice cream.

The first picture is of Jill (sister-in-law), and nephews - Tailur, Anthony, and Garrett. The second picture is Aunt Jill with Anna. In the picture of Ian Scott, the bubble are actually stuck to his head and ear. Grandma Cindy was catching bubbles with Anna.

The cutest picture of the day.. Nic and Jason! Need I say more?

Jason (my brother) is in front and Nic (brother-in-law) in back.

Where's Anna?

Anna has finally learned to crawl. She isn't really that fast yet but it gets her where she wants to go. On Saturday I was packing bags for our trip to Bluffton and left Anna in our bedroom to run upstairs to get the kids clothes. I asked Ian to check on Anna for me. He came running back saying Anna was not in the bedroom. What do you mean? I went to look for myself. Was she in the room where I left her? - NO. Was she on the other side of the bed? - NO. Was she in the closet? - NO. Was she in the bathroom? - NO. Was she in the pantry eating dog food? - BINGO.

I hope this doesn't make her snore and fart like Lexy does.
