Picnic at the park!

Shane had to work Sunday night and needed to take a nap. So, I thought to get the kids out of the house we would go to the park and have a picnic. I packed some food, then the wagon and off we went. We ate some food and then played for a while. It was so nice just to be out and enjoy the weather. Ian and Anna had fun and so did I. It was too bad Shane missed out but Ian keeps talking about "the next time" so I think he'll get a chance.

Before leaving Sunday morning, Aunt Kimmie did Anna J's hair in Piggy Tails. It was adorable and Anna loved showing it off.

Happy 4th Birthday Ian!

Ian's 4th Birthday was the 17th and let me say, where has the time gone? On this day we let Ian open the presents from us and then he got to pick where he wanted to eat....McDonald's, of course. Shane and I got him mostly Spiderman stuff that he can use on our vacation: an umbrella, beach chair, new trunks & towel, puzzles & games, a bag with wheels, and roller skates.

On Saturday we had his party which was a Justice League theme. It turned out to be a beautiful weekend and we had a ton of fun with our families. Ian got more super hero stuff and loved it all. He got this really cool Batman lamp from Uncle Eric and Ashlie. A bag to carry all his guys in from Aunt Kimmie, Uncle Nic and the boys. Ninja Turtles from Uncle Buddy, Aunt Jill, and Anthony and Poppaw and Grandma Jenni. A Spiderman bike helmet, knee & elbow pads, and a horn for his bike from Pappy and Grandma Cindy. Spiderman guys and shirt from Mema and Ray. And money from Great Grandma Kunkel and Penny. Aunt Pam sent him money also which got a huge "Whoa, more money!" from Ian. I've got to say the funniest thing Ian got was Flarp. It is this slime like stuff that when you stick your fingers into it, it makes farting noises. Shane and I had a ton of fun with that. As Shane says, "no matter how old you are, farts are funny."

My Aunt Deb made Ian two cakes and did an EXCELLENT job (again). Ian also picked out some Superman masks that he and Garrett had fun with. Can you tell which one is Ian and which is Garrett?

We topped the night off with a fire and friends. Gracyn and Aiden came over to play for a while and Ian and the boys had fun playing hide-n-seek until late into the night.

Happy Easter!

Okay so I am about a week late but, here are my Easter pictures. Our Church had an early rise service at 6:30 a.m. followed by breakfast and the regular 8 a.m. service. Since Shane worked the night before, 6:30 was perfect for HIM! We got the kids up and they actually did well. Breakfast was delicious and afterwards Shane went to bed and the kids and I headed to Bluffton. Grandma Kunkel always has lunch and an egg hunt. It was a bit cold this year and I didn't get many pictures because of this. We spent the day with family and then headed home to be with Shane for dinner. However, when we got home, he was still sleeping. Must have been a rough day for him. It was great and the kids had fun....crashed very early that night to.

Ian wanted to make cookies for Mema as her Easter gift. So we baked those Friday and decorated them. Mema also got to help color eggs with the kids. Anna loved throwing the eggs in the color and then fishing them out with her hands. At one point, she looked like Hulk, Ian said. Ian was very careful coloring his until he noticed that Anna was changing colors then he wanted to as well. It did come off in the bath thank goodness.

Anna loved hunting for eggs, when she would see one she just screamed. Ian had to be reminded to let her get some of them instead of hogging them.

The Look...

For those of you who know our precious little little (Anna) you know that she has a HUGE attitude. Here lately she has been giving us "The Look" at various times or requests. To me "The Look" seems to say "Are you serious?" Tell us what you think?

Thank you Joni for catching this and sharing it with us.
