Kids say the cutest things.
Don't have any new pictures just yet but wanted to tell you all of a few things that my sweet little boy has said.
* A few weeks ago a friends home (Phil's cousin - Rob) burned down and they lost everything. They being him, his wife and two little boys. Lori called to ask if we had any 4T jammies that the one little boy could wear since he would be staying with them for a few days. Ian is so small and still in 3T's but my sister had given me some of Garrett's old clothes and I began looking through those. This was right after bed time and Ian asked me what I was doing in his closet. I explained to him that Lori's nephews house burned down and everything in it. I could tell he was thinking and to my surprise, instead of a tough question I got "Tomorrow I can go through my toys and maybe he can have some of those." Yeah my heart melted.
* The other night Ian wanted to play a computer game that I got for him. There are several different CD's depending on which game you want. Well I asked him if he had the right one which he did. When I told him "good job" he told me how he had "sensed with my mind it was the right one." Then he went on to say "I suspected that" about something else. So smart for such a little guy
* Ian has wanted a kitten for some time. He is always asking why he can't have one and I tell him that we have two dogs and that Daddy doesn't really like cats or want one. So on this particular day in the car he is asking for a cat again. I go through the reasons why we can't have one and he replys "can we get a new Daddy that likes cats?" I laughed so hard as I told him that I liked the Daddy that we had and it just doesn't work that way. I don't think he got it...he still wants a cat.
So what is Anna up to? Her TERRIBLE TWOS I am afraid. No she is not two yet but man can she scream. I am not really even sure how to handle her because I don't think Ian had this problem. She screams for no reason and throws the biggest fits. Gives "the look" all the time and even says "no" now. HELP.

Back to School.
Today was Ian's first day of school. He was excited to get back but a bit unsure of the new teacher. He did well and some of the kids from last year were in his class again. I have never seen so many mother's with camera's and party buses in my life. I am not alone!
Last year I wanted to get a picture of Ian in a place where I could take it every year and see how he has grown. I thought our little pine tree was perfect. As you can see from the two pictures, my little boy is getting taller and looking more grown up by the minute. The first two are from last year and the next two are this year. What differences do you see?

Anna wanted to go to school as well and threw a huge fit when Shane said she wasn't going.

This is Ian and Mrs. Palumbo. His 4-year old class Teacher.

Youth For Christ Run/Walk

Every year since we have been up here, Shane and I have worked closely with the Youth For Christ program. With our jobs and what we see on a daily basis, it is such a relief to see people working for a good cause. They have various fund raisers throughout the year and running is my favorite, of course. Yes they do bowling to but lets face it (dad) I am a better runner. A few weeks before we were to run the first year Shane and I found out we were expecting. I went and ran anyway with baby Ian in my tummy. Every year since I have ran in it and so has Ian. Anna has also joined us - in the womb and out.

Ian loves to run, run, run, and Anna enjoyed herself as well. Ian got back in the stroller after a few laps (yeah he ran more than one) and told me he was too tired to keep running cause he had put on his double speed. Didn't know there was such a thing. I could have used that a time or two. I then had to make sure to catch everyone in front of us so we could win. Ian is such the competitor already. In fact, he thinks Anna runs to slow and she just needs to stay in the stroller. I tried explaining how she was still so small and eventually all four of us would be able to race. When I told him that I would win every time he said, "well, Daddy and I will lift weights and beat you and Anna." Bring it on. (Anna and I better get in the gym.)

After the hour run, they have fruit and water. Ian and Anna both had a banana and an apple. I took a picture of my two monkeys but forgot about my two piggies. One of the ladies asked me afterwards what my daughters name was. I told her Anna and she then asked if I had called her Anna J. I said yeah we always do. She then pointed to her daughter and said her name was Anna Janelle and they always call her Anna J. What are the chances?

It is a great time and if anyone is interested, let me know...
