Something Sweet.

I could not find my patience button last night and was a bit grumpy (mouth shut Shane). Anyhow, by the time I got Ian into bed I just wanted to sleep myself. I tucked him in, we said our prayers, and I was shutting the door when he yelled "Have sweet dreams Mommy!" Talk about feeling so small.
Ever Slept With A Bulldog?

Have you ever slept with a Bulldog? Let me tell you, it is a treat. They snore, fart, and hog the bed. But, since Ian got his new bed that is exactly where he wants Lexy - in his bed. A few mornings ago I went to get Ian up and around and this is what I found.....

See what I mean?

Congrats Lori (Mema) and Ray!

Shane's mother got married on Saturday in a simple service at their home with family. It was great to see his mother and Ray happy together and making that commitment. After the wedding, we had Casa's at their house and then eventually ended up at Rum Runners. This was a first for Shane and I but LOVED it. We all had so much fun hanging out together and look forward to many more good times.

The innocence of a child.
As Ian Scott was saying his prayers the other night, as he always does, he asked that God would make the snow go away so it would be warm and he could play outside. In the morning, he looked out the window and with the happiest voice, yelled "God answered my prayers! The snow is all gone." From the mouths of babes. He is such a sweet little guy and I pray that he continues to have this perfect walk with God. If only adults kept it this easy.

Happy St. Patrick's Day
This year for St. Patrick's Day we got to go out and have some fun with friends. Shane's mom kept the kids all night and we went to Columbia Street to watch Brett's Band "Synergy" play. We had a whole section reserved for officers and such and it was a blast.
This is Shane's brother's girlfriend Ashlee (and our next door neighbor). I had a ton of fun with her and hope she will be my sister-in-law some day.
Phil and Lori and Dawn and Joe went in our "party bus" and Jeff and Rachelle followed us down.
These are other friends we met down there.

Shane and Ash singing....in tune. This, of course, is
Brett on stage. Isn't he so cute. What a rock star.
This little old guy here with Lori was the talk of the bar. He was there
when we arrived at 8:00 and was there when we left at like 3:00 a.m. He had the best time just dancing and yeah hitting on all the ladies.

BORN TO RIDE!

With the warm weather Ian got to get his "hog" out and ride. I placed Anna on with Ian and she loved it. I think they want in on Pappy and Grandma Cindy's next trip. Maybe Shane and I could actually ride and go to.

Ian's First Report Card.

Shane and I got to meet with Ian's teacher, Mrs. Johnson, last week for our first Parent-Teacher Conference. She told us how Ian has tons of energy, as most little boys do. She told us that he LOVES doing puzzles, knows all his colors, shapes, and can count to 13. For the counting, she let them go as high as they could and when they made a mistake, that is the number she wrote down. We asked if he was lacking in any area or what we should work on with him and she said he was very smart and thinks about things others may not. We will just keep working with him-reading and counting. The biggest decision for us now is do we send him two days next year or four. Kindergarten is coming so fast - YIKES!

First Sleepover.

After getting his new bed, Ian was so excited to have his cousin, Garrett, over to try it out. They played so well in his room...making forts, pretending to be "good/bad guys" and doing what boys do. When it came time to sleep, Garrett wanted to sleep with Ian and Lexy on the bottom bunk. So he climbed into the bottom bunk and for about an hour I heard them upstairs giggling and playing instead of sleeping. Having two sisters I know how much there is to talk about once in bed. So I let them go. They were not as excited in the morning when they had to get up early to go to church. I think they both had a great time and want to do it again soon. Did I mention that Garrett had 6 cinnamon rolls for breakfast. Love that kid!

Remember when.....?
Do any of you remember being young and hating your name? I do. I always wanted to change my name to something more unique and interesting. I, of course, didn't realize all the time, effort, and fights naming me may have caused. Well I got a taste of this the other day when Ian told me he didn't like his name. He wanted to change it. When I asked him what he wanted to change it to he said "Robin" with the biggest smile on his face. When Shane tried telling him that Robin wasn't a very strong name and that Ian was so much better Ian told him how Robin is strong and better because he gets to help Batman fight the bad guys. I guess it could have been worse. He could have wanted to be named Batman.
It's Finally Here!

Ian's new bed is finally here. We have been waiting two months and it finally came yesterday. We recently redecorated Ian's room to include as many super heroes as we could. He now has a Batman border, Superman curtains, Spiderman wall stickers and a Spiderman and Batman bed. He loves it. Now we have to invite his friends over to try it out.
