Look Out Villains

As you all know, Ian is really into super heroes and villains. He has Batman, Spiderman, Superman, Power Rangers, Ninja Turtles.....all of them. In his collection are these huge hands and feet that I believe are from a character in the Fab Four or something. Anyhow, you put them on and when you hit things they make a crushing sound. The other night, Shane and I were on the couch and we hear Anna coming down the hall yelling HiiYaa. (This is something she has picked up from Ian's Tae Kwan Do classes.) We really didn't think much about it until we saw that she had these hands on yelling that. She was ready to kick someones butt. Now, even though Ian tells her she is not Wonder Woman, I think she could be. All she needs is a cute costume and set her loose. Look and decided for yourselves.

Snow fun like family fun.
On Sunday evening the family went back to the snow hill for more fun. This time, Shane and Anna joined us. I just wanted to get a few pictures of Shane and Ian sledding so we had to bundle Anna up to take her out. After the few pictures I planned on sitting in the warm van with Anna while Shane and Ian continued. We discovered that little Anna LOVES the snow. I put her in the sled and was just pulling her, nothing big, and she had this huge smile on her face. I wanted to get some pictures from the top of the hill so, I pulled Anna up to the top. Once up there, it was evident that she wanted to go down the hill like Daddy and Ian. So I sat on my butt and held the sled and we went down. She yelled WEEEEE the whole way. Loved it. Ian and Shane had fun to. They raced and then Ian climbed on Shane's back and they went. It was a beautiful day and we had tons of fun. Afterwards, we decided we needed something warm to eat so we got Wendy's chili and food. It really hit the spot. It was nothing like being pulled behind a truck on your sled but it will have to do - FOR NOW.
Valentines Day

Isn't this such a fun day? To start things out, Ian and I got to attend a "Mother Son" dance and had a ton of fun. This dance was held at the museum in town where Ian got to see all of the bat mobiles that he loved. There were snacks, music, crafts, games, and friends. They played Musical Stars which Ian won. He got a big chocolate star as his prize. They then played the chicken dance which is Ian's favorite. We had a ton of fun and can't wait to go on a date with him again.

I got Wednesday off because of the snow and Shane had to work first shift delivering flowers. Scott's had a deal this year where you could order flowers and have them delivered and the delivery fee was donated to the Police Department. Then, of course, the officer had to deliver the flowers rain or snow. So, I got flowers delivered to my door by a very handsome officer. It was great. Because of this, Shane had the evening off and we spent it at home with the kids. We had tacos (Shane's favorite, OK mine to) and watched movies. Not the most romantic but I loved it.

Talk about sweet!
This morning on our way to the sitter's house, Ian was talking about icicles on the houses. I told him a story of when I was about his age and there was a huge icicle on my house that I wanted. I couldn't reach it so I got a broom stick and knocked it down. Well, when it came down it came down right on my little hand and I cried and cried. He then asked "did you have band aides when you were little?" I said that I did but wasn't sure that my mommy put one on it. He then said "I would have put one on it for you. Was I born then?" I said no he wasn't to which he replied, "Well if I was there I could have taken care of you and been like your daddy." Yeah that's my kid. Thank you Ian Scott!

More fun in the snow.
Last weekend Ian finally got to go sledding. There is a park in our neighborhood with a HUGE hill that all the Auburn kids sled on. I took Ian with our sleds and climbed up to the top. Put Ian on his sled and asked if he wanted to go by himself....of course he did. I thought for sure he would be scared but he wasn't. He went all the way down laughing. On the back side of this hill it is steeper and there are homes, one of which has a fenced yard. Ian wanted to go down that side cause all the big kids were. I sent him down not thinking he'd make it to the fence or everyone knows you bail out before hitting something...so I thought. He hit that fence so hard and I ran down to check on him. He looked at me and said in his most serious voice "I think my foot pushed up into my leg or something." I laughed but made him get up to walk hoping I hadn't just broke his leg. He was fine but as we were standing there talking, some random kid nailed me on his sled. I immedialty asked if he was OK and he said yeah and ran back up the hill to his father. NO SORRY or anything. After he left I 1) hurt and 2) was ticked because what if that were Ian and 3) a sorry or look out or something would have been nice and 4) the father was just yelling at him to hurry back up the hill. What in the world? Even after all this, Ian continued to have fun going down the hill until he went down, hit a bump, flipped his sled and got a face full of snow. That was enough for him. He has asked to go back and talks about how much fun it was.
